On November 8, 2018, Eugene Bulba, head of the Validation and Commercial Grade Dedication Department, organized a workshop entitled «International Software Testing Qualification Board (ISTQB) or How to Become a Qualified Validator?” Eugene is a qualified ISTQB Test Manager and he organized the workshop in order to share his experience with preparing for exams and becoming a recognized software tester.

The target audience of the workshop included professionals currently involved in the processes of software validation, those interested in the basics of testing, and those wanting to broaden their technical knowledge. During the workshop, which was held in Radiy’s new training center known as Smart Hall, Eugene introduced the requirements of the ISTQB and provided details on the Foundation and Advanced certification levels. These certificates can be obtained in Ukraine after successfully passing the required exams.

The workshop generated many questions and facilitated discussion about exam procedures and qualification requirements. All participants agreed that the ISTQB certificate demonstrates high qualification and considerable experience - important values for engineers willing to take on new tasks to further their personal and professional development.

On October 25-26, 2018 acceptance testing of supply set of the Safety Related Nuclear Island I&C system for the SS KhNPP Power unit №1 was completed.

Validation is completed for the supply set of Safety Related Nuclear Island I&C SystemValidation of the SR NI I&C system was done at PC “RPC Radiy’s” facilities in two stages. The first stage included preliminary off-line tests of component parts and integrated tests of SR NI I&C system. These tests were performed by PC “RPC Radiy’s” Quality Control and Certification department with the participation of the design and manufacturing departments.

The second stage included the acceptance testing of SR NI I&C system, which was performed by the acceptance commission.

As a result of the testing performed, testing the Radiy acceptance commission concluded that:

  1. Validation results (of preliminary and acceptance testing) certify the conformance of the SR NI I&C system and its component parts with the requirements of existing rules and standards on nuclear and radiation safety, and requirements.
  2. The SR NI I&C system ensures safe operation and correct functioning in all operation modes provided in the system requirements and is applicable for intended use.
  3. Design, operational, and software documentation for SR NI I&C system are fully developed and meet the quality requirements in force in Ukraine.

Заседание Координационно-экспертного совета специалистов по вопросам АСУТПOn October 24-25, 2018 PC RPC Radiy hosted specialists from the Coordinating Expert Committee that represents State Enterprise National Nuclear Energy Generating Company “Energoatom.” Over 40 attendees, including nuclear power plant specialists, Radiy administration and leading engineers, and partner companies spent two days discussing important issues of the energy generation industry. The program encouraged participants to focus on the analysis and results of their work and gave them the chance to develop a detailed plan to help improve current practices.

The 11th International Workshop on the Application of Field Programmable Gate Arrays in Nuclear Power Plants was held October 8-11, 2018 in Dallas, Texas, USA. The meeting was organized by SunPort SA, hosted by Doosan HFC, sponsored by Curtiss-Wright and Radiy, and held in cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Association. It brought together 67 participants from 14 countries. The attendees included nuclear power vendors/suppliers, regulators, and engineering and research organizations.

The 11th International FPGA WorkshopRadiy and Radics representatives had a key role in sharing best practices to implement modernization projects using their FPGA-based Platform. The presentations made by Anton Andrashov and Kostiantyn Leoniiev also demonstrated Radiy’s achievements in SIL certification, equipment qualifications, and the US NRC licensing processes. They addressed the current challenges in the nuclear industry regarding FPGA-based technology and provided good evidence of the advantages of FPGAs.

One of the most important moments of the workshop occurred when Dennis Milsom, Instrumentation and Control Director for the nuclear division of Curtiss-Wright, made the official announcement that Radics LLC and Curtiss-Wright had signed a strategic partnership agreement.

The workshop provided a valuable networking opportunity and set the stage for further cooperation within the industry. The 12th International Workshop on the Application of FPGAs in NPPs is tentatively planned for October 2019 in Budapest, Hungary.

Seismic safety is an important part of national security. In order to increase the reliability of strategic assets, a number of technical and organizational solutions are being implemented during the design phase. These solutions are designed to increase the safety of personnel and the environment. Particular attention is paid to devices important to ensuring the safety of nuclear power plants. Seismic devices are designed, produced, and placed to withstand extreme mechanical, thermal, chemical, and other effects, as well as various kinds of extreme natural phenomena (earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, etc).

PC "RPC Radiy" produces seismic sensors (SS-1-1) which are designed to operate as part of the seismic protection program of buildings and structures. The main function of seismic sensors produced by PC “RPC Radiy” is the protection of nuclear power facilities from possible adverse seismic effects. The SS-1-1 sensor provides analog and discrete signals that alarm when a given level of seismic activity is exceeded.  These sensors identify and record changes to the static slopes of buildings and foundations.

On 10-11 October 2018, the Radiy acceptance commission conducted acceptance tests of seismic sensors SS-1-1 at the facilities of PC “RPC Radiy.” The purpose of the acceptance test was to confirm that the SS-1-1 sensors and the developed documentation comply with the current regulatory requirements. The test results and documentation provided by PC "RPC Radiy" are sufficient and comply with the regulatory documentation on nuclear and radiation safety in force in Ukraine.

On October 4-5, 2018, consultants of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, a creditor bank under Complex (Consolidated) Safety Upgrade Program (CSUP), visited PC “RPC Radiy” in order to supervise the implementation of measures of the program. During the visit, a delegation represented by the creditor consultants-inspectors (the Lithuanian Republic) and CSUP project managing group representatives (France-Ukraine) had an opportunity to monitor the execution of the contracts. Additionally, an action plan for the future was discussed. Radiy is the first company that has been audited by the EBRD experts this year.

PC “RPC Radiy” considers the safety of Ukrainian nuclear facilities to be their top priority. In the frame of Complex (Consolidated) Program, Radiy management signed a range of contracts under which the company will manufacture and supply equipment for the following projects:  

  1. modernization of the distribution device of 6/0.4 kV at power unit No.3 of Rivne NPP;
  2. modernization of the distribution device of 6/0.4 kV at power unit No.5 of Zaporizhia NPP;
  3. modernization of the distribution device of 6/0.4 kV at power unit No.3 of South Ukraine NPP;
  4. modernization of reactor building normal operation safety important systems, automatic regulation and remote control system, and equipment of 3N Safety Class special buildings at power unit No. 3 of Rivne NPP;
  5. modernization of the turbine building normal operation and safety related I&C system (instrumentation and controls, turbine's mechanical values monitoring system, process protections, interlocks and alarms), automatic regulation and remote control system at power unit No.3 of Rivne NPP;
  6. modernization of reactor building normal operation safety important systems (instrumentation and control, technological protection, interlocks and signaling, automatic regulation and remote control system), and equipment of 3N Safety Class special buildings at power unit No. 3 of South Ukraine NPP;
  7. modernization of the turbine building normal operation and safety related I&C system (instrumentation and controls, turbine's mechanical values monitoring system, process protections, interlocks and alarms), and automatic regulation and remote control system at power unit No.3 of South Ukraine NPP;
  8. modernization of reactor building normal operation safety important systems, automatic regulation and remote control system, and equipment of 3N Safety Class special buildings at power unit No. 1 of Khmelnitsky NPP;
  9. modernization of the turbine building normal operation and safety related I&C system (instrumentation and controls, turbine's mechanical values monitoring system, process protections, interlocks and alarms), and automatic regulation and remote control system at power unit No. 1 of Khmelnitsky NPP;
  10. modernization of automatic power controller and power limiting device to comply with requirements at power units No.4 and 5 of Zaporizhia NPP;
  11. modernization of drives control system, including the power supply system at power units No.3, 4 and 5 of Zaporizhia NPP;
  12. modernization of three control safety systems and UKTS replacement at power unit No. 3 of Rivne NPP;
  13. modernization of three control safety systems and UKTS replacement at power unit No. 3 of South Ukraine NPP;
  14. modernization of three control safety systems and UKTS replacement at power unit No. 1 of Khmelnitsky NPP;
  15. modernization of automatic power controller and power limiting device to comply with requirements at power unit No.3 of South Ukraine NPP and power unit No.6 of Zaporizhia NPP;
  16. modernization of drives control system, including the power supply system at power unit No.3 of South Ukraine NPP and power unit No.4 of Rivne NPP.

During the audit, Radiy discussed project progress, planned future actions, and addressed other issues related to the specified contracts. The EBRD experts inspected the company facilities and equipment and got familiar with production processes. The following issues were studied in detail:
- equipment testing and qualification;
- manufacturing planning process;
- financing;
- production effectiveness and quality assurance;
- terms planning and production management (in respect to procurement, contract schedules, and management).

The experts determined that all necessary technical and financial documents and information on the equipment supply contracts (in the frame of the tenders) had been provided.

Participation by PC “RPC Radiy” in a large-scale project of Complex (Consolidated) Safety Upgrade Program of Power Units of Ukrainian NPPs (supported by the EBRD) is of a great importance. Keeping the nuclear industry up to date is necessary to ensure the safety of nuclear facilities, the surrounding population, and the environment. Radiy specialists have the professional qualifications and necessary knowledge to be able to work effectively on this task.

The bid was announced by Zhitomir municipal company “Misksvitlo” in the summer of 2018 and on September 24, the winner was announced according to all bid disclosure procedures.

LED-светильник производства The tender package contains the detailed description of the order: Zhitomir municipal company requires 2070 streetlights of 20 Watts, 1160 items of 30 Watts, 2040 items of 50 Watts, 1736 items of 70 Watts, and 194 items of 120 Watts. A total of 7200 streetlights at an amount totaling 25 million UAH. The streetlights are scheduled to be supplied in several stages during 2018-2019.

The meeting minutes of the tender package opening procedure were published on September 28, 2018 and mentioned several companies who took part in the bid, “Trading House “Radiy” included. The opportunity was given to “Radiy” due to its efficient technical proposal and favorable price vs quality ratio.

Zhitomir will be the first city in Europe to replace all streetlights with “smart” LEDs functioning as a system of power supply light control.

Signing Ceremony of Strategic Partnership Agreement between Radics LLC and Curtiss-Wright CorporationOn September 25, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., the signing ceremony of the Strategic Partnership Agreement (hereafter - Agreement) between Radics LLC (Ukraine) and Curtiss-Wright Corporation (the United States of America) occurred at the conference hall of PC RPC Radiy.

Strategic Partnership Agreement between Radics LLC and Curtiss-Wright CorporationThe main purpose of the event was to sign the Agreement between Radics LLC and Curtiss-Wright Corporation, the culmination of a fruitful three-year cooperation.

The Agreement provides for the joint implementation of modernization projects at US nuclear power plants. Radics LLC and Curtiss-Wright Corporation will direct their efforts for support of safety systems modernization projects at US nuclear power plants by applying innovative Radics platform that is designed and manufactured by PC RPC Radiy.

Curtiss-Wright Corporation will supply the products made on the RadICS platform for nuclear power plants, research reactor facilities, DOE national laboratories and provide support and services for end user.

Signing Ceremony of Strategic Partnership Agreement between Radics LLC and Curtiss-Wright CorporationOne of the steps for Agreement implementation will be the engineering support by Radics LLC to Curtiss-Wright Corporation to set up the development processes of software for NPPs that meet all the requirements of the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

In accordance with the Agreement, specialists of Radics LLC will also develop the Demonstration system for Curtiss-Wright Corporation which is necessary to introduce the RadICS platform both to the Company’s personnel and potential customers of Curtiss-Wright Corporation. In addition, Radics engineers are going to provide training sessions for of Curtiss-Wright personnel.

Officially the partnership of Radics LLC and Curtiss-Wright Corporation will be announced for all nuclear community during the 11th International Workshop on application of FPGAs at NPPs in Dallas on October 8, 2018.

The Second Supervisory Audit of Radics Quality Management SystemThe Quality Policy of RPC Radics LLC describes the company’s main priority – the creation of high quality, reliable, and safe products.

Quality Austria, the leading Austrian company on Quality Management System certification, conducted a second supervisory audit of the RPC Radics LLC QMS on September 13, 2018. The purpose of the audit was to verify compliance with ISO 9001:2015.

An audit team included experienced specialists from Quality Austria, a partner from the International Certification Network, and a member of the European Quality Association and International Accreditation Forum.

The Second Supervisory Audit of Radics Quality Management SystemAuditors noted the positive development of the RPC Radics LLC QMS since the first supervisory audit (September 2017). In particular, they noted:

- high level of personnel expertise and their ambition to continually improve the quality of processes, products, and services;

- high degree of personnel and top management involvement in performance of events to achieve quality purposes.

The audit confirmed RPC Radics LLC QMS certification.

Quality Аustria, a leader in system and production certification and verification and validation, conducted the second supervisory audit of the Quality Management System of “RPC Radiy” on September 11-12, 2018.  The audit was conducted in order to verify compliance with ISO 9001:2015.

During the audit, Quality Austria experts visited several of Radiy’s production divisions including: workshops, the Steering Hydromechanics Plant, and the Metrology department. The audit team also held discussions with RPC Radiy directors and specialists in the following areas: quality control and certification, marketing, sales and procurement, project management, manufacturing, material procurement, and human resources.

The Quality Аustria audit team concluded that RPC Radiy has a Quality Management System that complies with ISO 9001:2015 and confirmed Certificates No.16989/1 and No.16989/4 dated September 21, 2016.

Quality Austria also highlighted a few of RPC Radiy’s strengths, including: product differentiation (new modifications of energy-saving LED luminaires); continuous modernization of production; well-qualified, competent, and QMS-aware personnel; company infrastructure which ensures a safe working environment; and RPC Radiy’s approval by Global Quality Assurance to be on the approved supplier list for “Research and Production Corporation Radics.

 Challenging tasks are typical for RPC Radiy and to be successful in this audit is an achievement for all employees.

Atomic energy is an important energy source in Ukraine. As such, equipment performance reliability is crucial. Currently, Ukrainian nuclear power plants are replacing obsolete systems to ensure that high reliability is maintained. Radiy’s top priority is to support this modernizing effort. The company is motivated to design and manufacture equipment that addresses obsolescence problems at Ukrainian nuclear facilities.

On August 20-21, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) was completed for control panels designed to replace the obsolete turbine cycle feedwater heaters’ control panels at Zaporozhye NPP Unit 4. These control panels provide for automation equipment (i.e., protection, interlock, alarm, and automatic and remote control functions) for turbine cycle feedwater heaters.

The purpose of FAT was to make sure Radiy’s equipment fully complied with the customer’s technical requirements. The equipment was subjected to functionality testing to validate the system performance characteristics. 

The FAT commission included representatives of Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant, Radiy designers, and production specialists.  

The comprehensive testing proved that the equipment fully complies with all the Ukrainian regulatory requirements for nuclear and radiation safety.

The new equipment was delivered to the customer in August 2018.

Radiy’s solutions are proven in use.

June 2018 turned out to be a very productive month for PC “RPC Radiy” as two systems of Reactor Power Control and Limitation were successfully tested in several stages.

Preliminary testing of the equipment was followed by acceptance testing. The Commission concluded that RPCLSs can be used as a technical base for the modernization of similar systems at ZNPP power units 4 and 5, as required by the Customer.

Due to the positive preliminary and acceptance testing results for RPCLSs, the Acceptance Testing Commission decided not to conduct a complete set of testing. Acceptance testing procedures were limited to random checks.   

The comprehensive testing proved that RPCLSs fully comply with nuclear and radiation safety regulations, rules, standards, and UYAISH.468263.039 TZ. Equipment is being delivered to ZNPP according to the project schedule.

9th International IEEE Conference on Dependable Systems, Services and Technologies IEEE-DESSERT2018

Dependable Systems, Services and TechnologiesThe representatives of Radiy’s R&D Department, together with their colleagues from the I&C System Design Bureau and Radics LLC, attended the IEEE-DESSERT 2018 conference held May 24-27, 2018 in Kyiv, Ukraine. Since 2007, RPC Radiy has been the sponsor of this event, which is the largest conference on the dependability and safety of computer-aided systems in Eastern Europe. 200 participants from 21 countries presented over 200 reports. All conference materials can be found in IEEEE and Scopus data bases. 

13th International Conference on Dependability and Complex Systems DepCoS2018

This year’s DepCoS Conference was held in Brunow, Poland on July 2-6 and for many years, RPC Radiy has been an industrial partner of this event. Radiy R&D Department representatives gave presentations on usability, security and safety interaction, and automation system assessment. The conference materials are published on Springer in the Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing category.

26th International Conference on Nuclear Engineering ICONE 2018The Director of Radiy’s R&D Department Vyacheslav Kharchenko participated in one of the largest nuclear energy conferences, ICONE 2018, held July 22-26, 2018 in London, England. Radiy made the following presentations: «Multi-Diversity for FPGA Platform Based NPP I&C Systems: New Possibilities and Assessment Technique», «NPP I&C Safety Assessment by Aggregation of Formal Techniques», and «FMEDA and FIT-Based Safety Assessment of NPP I&C Systems Considering Expert Uncertainty». Follow-up meetings were also held with top experts to discuss the current situation of I&C System design and NPP safety.

The key goal of Public Company Research and Production Corporation Radiy is to have its products certified to the highest level. Radiy periodically goes through the certification process to guarantee its products meet the most rigorous international standards for design and manufacture.

Radiy’s main product is the RadICS digital instrumentation and control Platform. The quality of this product has been verified by Ukrainian and international certification audits.

The RadICS Platform was recently subjected to Witness Testing to confirm compliance with the functional safety requirements of IEC 61508. Witness Testing enables engineers and quality assurance personnel to confirm that the test sample meets the required technical parameters. 

This testing was conducted by independent international expert exida.

Witness Testing of the RadICS Platform confirmed that it complies with functional safety requirements required for SIL 3 certification in single channel configuration. This proves that the RadICS Platform has a high level of quality and safety and that the equipment software and hardware design meet all the requirements for SIL 3 certification.

The SIL 3 certificate released by exida was updated based on the Witness Testing results. This stage of RadICS Platform development was finalized by the updated certificate released by exida.

The certificate shows that the RadICS Platform meets the related requirements of IEC 61508:2010 and can be used to design and implement safety systems in accordance with the product Safety Manual requirements. 

The ability to meet the high levels of quality and safety required by the nuclear community is the main advantage of Radiy’s SIL 3 certified products.

Pursuing the ambitious goal of entering the US nuclear market, Radiy is conducting a procedure for licensing the RadICS Platform for compliance with US NRC requirements.

As part of this process, in April 2018 the stage related to qualifying tests of the RadICS Platform test sample was successfully completed. The tests were conducted in the Kinectrics laboratory, Canada. The quality management system of this lap complies with the requirements of 10 CFR, Appendix B. The test sample was tested for seismic, climatic and electromagnetic stability. The test results confirmed sample’s compliance with the stringent requirements of the US NRC and IEEE and EPRI regulations.

Simultaneously with the qualification tests, the next licensing stage was successfully completed. This included an audit conducted by NRC experts. The aim of the audit was to clarify how effective is the monitoring of the development, manufacturing and quality control of the RadICS Platform. Also there was a need to confirm achieving the required level of safety, reliability and quality. The RadICS Platform passed all tests successfully without additional modifications.

Currently Radiy is at the final stage of licensing the RadICS Platform for US NRC requirements. The completion of the procedure is expected in 2019    at the earliest.

Succesful completion of licensing proves Radiy’s ability to develop and supply ICS according the highest world standards.

In March 29-30 Public Company Research and Production Corporation Radiy held Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for Power Supply System for Rod Control System of Reactor Control and Protection System (PSS for RCS of RCPS) for Unit 3, Zhaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant.

The main purpose of the FAT was to confirm that the delivery set of the PSS for RCS of RCPS and the technical documentation comply with the regulations and standards for nuclear and radiation safety and the requirements of the Terms of Reference.

There was also a need to clarify the possibility of the PSS for RCS of RCPS shipment to the Customer for use in the modified Power Supply System for Rod Control System of Reactor Control and Protection System for Unit 3, Zhaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant.

Finally the compliance of the PSS for RCS of RCPS with the regulations and standards for nuclear and radiation safety and the requirements of the Terms of Reference was confirmed and stated.  The delivery set maintains its functionality and works correctly in all modes of operation specified in the Terms of Reference.

Soon, the delivery of the PSS for RCS of RCPS will be completed and delivery set will be ready for use at the Unit 3, Zhaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant.

On January 23-24, 2018 specialists from PC RPC Radiy conducted qualification type testing on electric distribution cabinets (EDCs). The focus of the type testing was to verify that the modifications made to the EDC design were both correct and sufficient. The type testing was conducted on 6 types of EDCs designed and manufactured by PC RPC Radiy.

The modifications were made to the original EDC design in order to implement the requirements of regulatory rules NP 306.2.202-2015 and National Operator's standards SOY NAEK 100:2016. The type testing validated that the new EDC design meets these requirements.

The qualification type testing commission included representatives from SS Khmelnitskiy NPP, SS Zaporozhye NPP, South Ukraine NPP, Rovno NPP, Operator of Ukrainian NPPs NNEGC "Energoatom," State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety, and Radiy's specialists.

The type testing results confirmed that all 6 EDCs meet the technical requirements provided in TS Y31.2-14312430-073:2007 and Ukrainian regulations on nuclear radiation and safety.

The end of 2017 has been quite busy as Radiy works to finalize many projects under contract with both Ukrainian and international customers.

During Factory Acceptance Testing on November 28-30, Radiy demonstrated the quality of equipment that was designed and manufactured for Power Unit 3, Rivne NPP – Channel 1 ESFAS.

The FAT commission included representatives from PC RPC Radiy and the customer, SS Rivne NPP, and experts from the State Enterprise “State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety” (SSTC NRS). 

In order to comply with the FAT regulatory requirements, the validation of the ESFAS supply equipment was conducted in two stages.

During the first stage, Radiy’s Quality Management specialists, designers, and manufactures checked stand-alone items and components and then tested the system as a whole.

In the second stage, the FAT commission witnessed integrated testing of ESFAS-1 that was conducted in compliance with approved testing programs and procedures (468263.037 PP1, 468263.037 PP2 and 468263.037 PP3).

The results of the equipment validation during the two stages confirmed that the integrated system as well as its stand-alone items and components meet all the technical requirements identified in Technical Specification (468263.037 ТS). This equipment also complies with the rules and regulations introduced by State Enterprise “State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety” of Ukraine.

The acceptance testing demonstrated that the supply system successfully functions in all the designed operation modes, as required by Technical Specification (468263.037 ТS).

The design documentation and operational manuals submitted to the customer are developed in full-scope and adhere to Ukrainian rules and regulations.

The FAT commission confirmed that the customer will receive a high quality product due to Radiy’s considerable experience in carrying out large-scale projects using the most sufficient technical solutions for safety applications.

The supply set of ESFAS -1 has been delivered to the customer and will soon be commissioned at SS Rivne NPP, Power Unit 3.

In November 21-22 Public Company Research and Production Corporation Radiy held Factory Acceptance Testing for vibration-measuring system VMS-1 according the Company’s Order # 120 dated 17.11.2017. 

The tested equipment was designed and developed for Khmelnitski Nuclear Power Plant. The customer’s representative - chief metrologist -  took part in the FAT and witnessed testing procedures.

Before conducting FAT, VMS-1 was calibrated and preliminary tested in the Company’s testing laboratory to check if it meets all requested technical requirements described in the Technical Specification and its Appendix.

Thus, the lower level of mechanical vibrations, which is specified by the testing vibro-set unit, is now extended from 2 to 1 Hz with the non-linear distortions coefficient of no more than 5%.  Also, the Appendix says that the upper level of the measuring frequency range for vibro-measuring device VMD-1 and  for vibro-measuring multichannel device VMMD-1 extends from 1000 to 2000 Hz with remaining measuring accuracy. That allows to do vibration measuring in a wider frequency range.

The FAT committee confirmed that the tested equipment complies with all requirements, the VMS-1 technical characteristics and its quality meets criteria of Ukrainian regulatory documents.

The approved equipment is going to be sent to the Customer at the end of November, 2017.

In the period of October 11—13, 2017 PC RPC Radiy tested Safety Related Nuclear Island I&C System (NI I&C) that was designed and developed for one of Radiy’s permanent customers -Separate Subdivision Rivne NPP.

The validation of the equipment was conducted in two stages.

At Stage 1Radiy’s Quality Control and Certification Department carried out preliminary component testing, which was followed by the complex functional testing of the entire supply set of safety related NI I&C.

The second Stage of the validation process was carried out by the FAT Committee, which included representatives of the SE NNEGC «Energoatom», State Enterprise «State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety» (SSTC NRS), Rivne Nuclear Power Plant and specialists of RPC Radiy.

The FAT Committee concluded that the tested equipment is in full compliance with the current norms, rules and standards of Nuclear and Radiation Safety and the requirements of the Terms of Reference, developed by Radiy (UYAISH.468263.035 ToR and UYAISH.468263.035 1ToR), based on the Customer’s technical specification.

By the end of October Nuclear Island I&C System will be delivered to the Customer and will be installed to implement modernization plans at Unit 3, Rivne NPP.
