On October 23, 2018, as part of a cooperation effort with Central Ukrainian National Technical University (CUNTU) in Kropyvnytsky, Radiy presented a paper entitled “Energy-Efficient Lighting Systems for Industrial and Municipal Customers.” This publication was jointly authored by Radiy specialists Begun A.P. and Rezunenko A.O. and CUNTU staff.
A new luminaire containing a wi-fi based control unit was also introduced at this event. Radiy’s design specialists made the presentation and provided the software to the university for training and laboratory work.
For more than two years, Radiy’s specialists have worked closely with the automation and energy industry department at CUNTU. Radiy is specifically interested in the students studying electro-technical systems of electric power consumption and energy management.
The cooperation between Radiy and CUNTU is focused on three areas:
1. Human resources: Students undertake an internship at Radiy with the goal of working for the company full-time. Six CUNTU graduates have already joined the Projects Design Group.
2. Upgrade of light-engineering laboratory: Radiy’s luminaires have extended the training and increased the material resources of the university’s laboratory. Additionally, “Light-engineering facilities of industrial enterprises” was introduced as a new course of study.
3. Scientific publications: “Energy-efficient lighting systems for industrial and household use” was the first publication jointly authored by Radiy and CUNTU and further plans include the development and publication of all scientific literature necessary for students studying “Light-engineering facilities of industrial enterprises.”
Social responsibility is a key concept of business development and cooperation with universities and colleges is one way to achieve this concept. Current students are motivated by attractive educational environments and future career opportunities.
