RadICS Digital Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Platform is a new generation product, designed during the period 2010-2014. With more than 10 years’ experience in design, production, operation and maintenance RadICS Platform-based safety systems are highly reliable and proven-in-use.

RPC Radiy designed, manufactured and supplied Window Alarm Annunciators (WAA) for Candu Energy Inc. to replace the obsolete equipment presently installed in the “Embalse” NPP, Argentina, as part of their life extension project. In this project Radiy used modules and chassis of the standard RadICS FPGA-based Safety Platform as a hardware base for WAAs equipment. These modules are certified as SIL 3 under IEC 61508.
From March 11th to 21st in 2014 Radiy’s specialists carried out set of qualification tests according to IEEE and IEC standarts and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), witnessed by Candu Energy, which demonstrated WAA’s stability in different operational conditions and full compliance with client specifications and applicable standards.
The project was noteworthy because of the customer's demand for seismic resistance of our equipment that was much higher than the norm of 28g, according to which we had previously tested our equipment. Despite the difficult task, at the Canadian testing laboratory Kinetrics, we successfully tested our products for compliance with customer requirements.
RPC Radiy designed, manufactured and supplied PHT Pump Motor Speed Measuring Devices that were designated to implement pump low trip in the Shutdown System 2 (SDS2) of the Embalse NPP, Argentina for Candu Energy Inc. Radiy’s Signal Processing Unit was qualified to IEC 61513 Class 1 and proved to Category A safety functions. From March 11th to 21st in 2014, after our company conducted all qualification tests, Radiy’s specialists carried out Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), also witnessed by Candu Energy, which showed that Radiy’s PHT Pump Motor Speed Measuring Devices were in the full compliance with client specifications and applicable standards.
In this project we did not use platform certified modules, but thanks to the unique modular platform design (HW, FPGA ED Units) we managed very quickly to design a device that included 90% of the platform assemblies and carry out V & V very quickly.
On May 16-20, 2016 Radiy held Factory Acceptance Tests of Safety Systems Control Console SSCC-1. Radiy engineers designed, manufactured and tested the Safety Systems Control Console SSCC-1, which included Neutron Flux Monitoring, Rods Control andReactor Trip Systems according to the Customer specifications - Redetec / IPEN (Brazil).
Safety Systems Control Console SSCC-1 is based on the RadICS platform, certified to IEC 61508: 2010 and SIL 3 level requirements, and ensures high reliability, functionality and information security.
The Factory Acceptance Tests confirmed that the equipment complies with technical requirements and was approved by authorized representatives of both parties.
