The I&C complex of the electronic part of the turbine automatic control and protection system successfully passed preliminary acceptance tests of the first unit and factory acceptance tests for the second unit. The equipment was manufactured for SS RNPP and testing was performed October 26-28, 2021 at Radiy facilities.
The equipment was designed within the framework of a joint project with “Turboatom” (renamed to the stock company “Ukrainian Energy Cars”). The complex provides automatic control of the frequency and capacity of the turbine-generator in normal and emergency modes of operation. The system can be used for all types of steam turbines, enabling power units to provide primary and secondary control of frequency and capacity. The I&C System also performs operation diagnostics of separate elements and actuator control paths.
