07.04.2023April 6, 2023 - RPC Radiy specialists successfully completed the online training on advanced cyber security. A 3-day training session was conducted by two experts from the State Scientific Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety – Oleksandr Klevtsov, Head of Information and Control Systems Security Division, and Artem Simonov, Head of Analysis and Cyber Security Laboratory at Kharkiv city branch of the State Scientific Technical Center on Nuclear and Radiation Safety. The session focused on the topic “Providing cyber security of information and control systems at nuclear facilities to ensure their nuclear and radiation safety”.
Radiy key specialists, including designers of products and support documentation as well as heads of divisions in charge of products’ development and delivery were familiarized with new requirements to product protection at all stages of its life cycle.
It was a very timely knowledge update, as the compliance with new requirements has become critical in the reality of a full-scale invasion and high risks of aggressor’s cyber attacks.
In the war time the rapid development of digital technologies causes an increase of cyber security risks. Therefore, it has become a strategic issue that requires the utmost attention. Ensuring nuclear and radiation safety by compliance with the requirements to cyber security of information and control systems, their components and software is the current target for Ukrainian and global nuclear power plants.
