Radiy’s Functional Equipment for NPPs: Comprehensive Type Testing

December 11, 2025 - Factory Acceptance Testing were performed at the Radiy’s proving grounds for a set of equipment to modernize the pumping facility at the Khmelnitsky NPP: the Automated Control System for the 2nd Water Lift Station, which ensures a reliable water supply to the nuclear power facility and city of Netishyn (Ukraine).
The equipment includes the following:
- Workstation, automated operator workstation with licensed software PC-ARM-D-V1 – 1;
- Electric Distribution Cabinet of coupling module ShER-MS-V1 – 1pc.;
- Electric Distribution Cabinet for electric valve control module (specialized) ShER-MK-EPZ-V1 – 1 pc.;
- Electric Distribution Cabinet for electric valve control module SHER-MK-EPZ-V2 – 1 pc.;
- Electric Distribution Cabinet for the frequency control power module of the ShER-SM-PCH-75-V1 pump unit – 5 pcs.;
- Local control panel for PMU-NA pump unit – 5 pcs.
Advantages of Radiy’s equipment:
- The process automation is based on modern programmable logic controllers and frequency converters.
- The equipment was manufactured and tested in line with the requirements of the Technical Specifications (TS) under 19 items of the Test Program (including checks of electrical safety, design standards, power supply parameters, and injury prevention requirements).
- The equipment performs critical functions: automated control of pump units, precise control of electric valve drives, reliable interaction of modules, and operational control from the automated workstation.
Radiy’s equipment is designed to improve energy efficiency, response times, and safety of the water supply systems at the Khmelnitsky NPP and thus ensure the overall stability of the nuclear power facility.
