Position Signaling Mechanisms Undergo Acceptance Testing

On June 19–20, 2024, radiy, together with representatives of Rivne NPP, successfully conducted acceptance testing of serial samples of single-turn electric actuators (SEA). This high-tech equipment was designed and manufactured by radiy in accordance with the technical specifications "Single-Turn Electric Actuators. Technical Specifications."
What are these actuators used for?
Electric actuators play a key role in the automatic process control systems at nuclear power plants. They ensure precise movement of control components based on command signals from automatic or control devices. These actuators are used both in general control systems and in critical safety systems at nuclear power plants.
How Were the Tests Conducted?
The tests were carried out at the radiy testing ground in Kropyvnytskyi, Ukraine. The primary goal was to verify the equipment's compliance with technical specifications, design documentation, and regulatory standards, as well as to evaluate its functionality and reliability.
The testing process included:
- Analysis of the completeness and accuracy of the documentation provided by the developer;
- Functional tests to verify compliance with the stated characteristics;
- Confirmation of the product's safety and quality.
The results were excellent: the mechanisms successfully passed all tests, with no remarks or recommendations.
Delivery to the Customer
All mechanisms will be shipped to the nuclear power plant within the planned timeframe, in accordance with the terms of the contract.
This equipment represents another step toward enhancing the technological reliability and safety of Ukrainian nuclear power plants and other critical infrastructure facilities.
