On March 21, 2024, the following electrical equipment successfully passed testing:
- 0.4 kW cabinets for powering busbars,
- 0.23 kW cabinet for uninterruptible power supply of the safety system and general-unit uninterruptible power supply units for systems important to safety,
- 0.4 kW cabinet for testing the generator actuator.
The comprehensive testing of the equipment was conducted by the letter of the South Ukraine NPP No. 23-0009.04.05 dated 03/14/2024, and was aimed to fulfill the terms of the supply agreement dated January 18, 2023.
This equipment was developed by the Design Bureau of Electro-Technical Equipment and manufactured on radiy production lines. Power Input Cabinets (PICs) are crucial for the uninterrupted operation of power facilities. At nuclear power plants PICs play a key role in ensuring a reliable power supply to various systems and mechanisms by performing the following functions:
- Receiving and distributing electricity;
- Protecting the power grid and equipment;
- Monitoring and control;
- Withstanding emergency conditions.
These cabinets are an essential part of the power supply system at nuclear power plants, contributing to the stable and safe execution of all technological processes.
