Terms of Equipment Supply for Power Unit 4 of the Rivne NPP Completed

April 4, 2024 acceptance tests of the nuclear island instrumentation and control (I&C) system were completed at radiy’s facility. This advanced equipment was designed and manufactured according to customer’s specification to replace the outdated system at Power Unit 1 of Rivne NPP.
The existing system no longer meets current requirements and cannot ensure reliable technological protection and control of the power unit’s operational parameters.
Key Technical Features of the Newly Developed radiy System:
- transmission and reception of information and control signals via digital communication channels;
- built-in autonomous control and diagnostics tools with dedicated channels for data transmission;
- two-wire connection schemes for primary measuring transducers, capable of detecting system or communication line malfunctions;
- distribution of primary signal processing functions across independent subsystems and devices;
- compatibility with the existing nuclear island I&C infrastructure and seamless integration into its structure.
Following the successful completion of the tests, the equipment will be delivered to Rivne NPP as a critical component for reconstruction of the nuclear island I&C system at Power Unit 1.
