Integrated Switchgear Assemblies for Rivne NPP are Ready for Shipment and Installation
03.11.2026On October 27–29, 2026 - Oleksii Pankov, Deputy Technical Director at RPC Radiy participated in the SPRING Codes & Standards and Quality Assurance Workshop in Vilnius, Lithuania. The workshop was held as part of the U.S. Department of State’s Foundational Infrastructure for Responsible Use of Small Modular Reactor (SMR) Technology (FIRST) Program and the SMR Pan-Regional Interest Nuclear Group (SPRING) initiative, with the involvement of AdSTM and Sargent & Lundy.
During the workshop Oleksii Pankov delivered a presentation about “Becoming ISO 19443 Certified: A Supplier’s Journey and Lessons Learned.”
Oleksii shared Radiy’s experience in preparing for and obtaining ISO 19443 certification, highlighting how years of work with customer requirements, international standards and nuclear industry practices helped build a resilient Quality Management System.
Our key message to the participants was that companies with a mature Quality Management System do not need to start from zero or be afraid of ISO 19443 certification. They can build on their existing processes, identify gaps and improve their systems step by step.
The workshop brought together representatives of government, regulators, utilities, technology providers and suppliers from across Central and Eastern Europe to exchange experience on codes and standards, quality assurance and the readiness of the nuclear supply chain for future projects.
