Power Input Cabinets for South Ukraine NPP: Ready for installation and Commissioning

On February 29, 2024, in accordance with Rivne NPP’s letter No. 22-3575/151 dated February 22, 2024, and to fulfill the terms of the supply contract No. 53-122-01-23-13862 dated June 9, 2023, Cabinet 11A of the complete transformer substation for internal needs (Transformer Substation -0.4 kW) underwent a comprehensive inspection before being shipped to the customer. The Cabinet for Transformer Substation, developed and manufactured by radiy, was tested over three days via video conference.
The Cabinet for Transformer Substation is designed for:
- Powering the NPP's internal systyems - It supplies electricity at a level of 0.4 kW for the auxiliary equipment of the power plant (pumps, fans, control systems, lighting, etc.).
- Electricity distribution and control - It ensures efficient power distribution among the plant’s internal consumers.
- Networks and equipment protection - It is equipped with circuit breakers, protection relays and other safety devices to prevent emergencies.
From March 14 to 15, 2024, acceptance tests of the DC Distribution System for Transformer Plant for South Ukraine NPP were conducted.
The DC Distribution System for Transformer Plant was developed by the Design Bureau of Electro-Technical Equipment and manufactured at radiy production facilities. The tests were approved by South-Ukraine NPP’s letter dated March 6, 2024, fulfilling the terms of the supply agreement dated February 22, 2022.
The DC Distribution System for Transformer Plant, an essential component of power systems, ensures a continuous power supply to critical DC-powered devices. It is required for:
- powering relay protection and automation systems;
- ensuring emergency power supply operation;
- providing power to switching devices;
- supporting telemechanics and communication systems.
Serial samples of the equipment fully comply with technical documentation requirements and have no inconsistencies or malfunctions.
