The Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of the RCPS equipment for the VVER-1000 reactor at Kozloduy NPP Unit 6 was conducted at Radiy’s site from July 22 to 26, 2024, via video conference.
The RCPS includes components designed and manufactured in accordance with the technical specifications outlined in UYAISH.468263.061 Terms of Reference, and complies with the Customer’s requirements and Bulgaria’s regulatory documents on nuclear and radiation safety, including cybersecurity. The Commission assessed the equipment’s compliance with all technical requirements, marking an important step towards the further implementation of the RCPS for Kozloduy NPP Unit 6. This system will ensure the uninterrupted and safe operation of the NPP.
On August 12, 2024, the Reactor Control and Protection System was delivered to the customer in accordance with the terms of the contract between the companies.
